Nippon Kogaku Profile Projector Lenses

Nihonbashi Theater, Tokyo

Tokyo September is end of summer but sky is blue like yesterday.
The Tokyo Meeting was held at Nihonbashi Theater near Ginza.
We were satisfied with very deep topic of Nippon kogaku items and Nikon cameras.

Nippon Kogaku Profile Projector Lenses

The main theme of the meeting was the special research of Nippon Kogaku profile projector lenses.

Nippon Kogaku Profile Projector Lenses Outfit Box

The hard wooden box contains 4 lenses with 10x, 20x, 50x and 100x magnification.
These lenses were designed for use with a Nikon profile projector, an inordinately large microscope with a huge flat screen for viewing.
Those projectors are used during industrial processes for inspection and precise measurement of small parts and section of larger parts.
With lower magnification light comes from the side onto the inspected part.
With magnification of 50x and 100x light is coming coaxial via the lens through a little window and a pellicle mirror onto the inspected item.

The first model of Nippon Kogaku profile projector was completed in 1939.
Many kinds of profile projectors are still produced in the Nikon.
Let's put it on your living room!!
It is possible to collect lenses though it is hard to put the profile projector equipment.

Nippon Kogaku Fortress Binoculars

Well, let's take a coffee break.
Do you know a Fortress Binoculars?
This old bino is a Nippon Kogaku fortress binoculars. Very early number No. 72 is engraved on the top cover. A reticle scale can be moved with the lever operation.

The film used to take a picture is Polaroid 667. We saw a wonderful photo 30 seconds later.
